2013年8月15-25日，我实验室徐芳森教授等6人应邀参加在土耳其伊斯坦布尔举行的国际硼会议（BORON2013）和第十七届国际植物营养学讨论会(ⅩⅦ. International Plant Nutrition Colloquium)。

在国际硼会议上（BORON’2013），徐芳森教授作了口头报告“Boron efficiency in oilseed rape (Brassica napus)”；石磊教授做了两个口头报告，分别为“Effect of Etibor-48 and Colemanite on seed yield and seed quality of oilseed rape (Brassica napus) and their residual effectiveness for rotated rice”和“Cloning and expression analysis of BnNIP5;1s of oilseed Rape (Brassica napus L.) with different boron efficiency”，并主持了“Genetics and Molecular Biology of Efficiency and Tolerance”分场报告。本次会议组委会主席为土耳其萨班哲大学（SabancI University）伊斯梅尔恰克马克（Ismail Cakmak）教授，日本东京大学Toru Fujiwara教授协助组织，来自28个国家86名代表参加了本次会议。会议主题主要有(1) Function of Boron in Plants, Animals and Bacteria；(2) Genetics and Molecular Biology of Efficiency and Tolerance；(3) Boron in the Field and Crops； (4) Boron Toxicity/Interaction of Boron with Other Nutrient/Stress；(5) Transport and regulation等。本次会议邀请了美国加利福尼亚戴维斯大学Patrick Brown教授和日本东京大学Toru Fujiwara教授分别作了两场特邀报告，分别为“A Century of Discovery and a History of Mystery”和“Let us expand our boron studies for the future”。中心客座教授佛山科学技术学院喻敏教授也参加了本次会议，并展示了墙报。

第十七届国际植物营养学讨论会的会议主题为“植物营养满足人类营养和食物安全”。来自63个国家667名代表围绕下面的主题进行了讨论(1) Rhizosphere process, root biology and nutrient acquisition；(2) Mineral nutrition and abiotic stress；(3)Nutrient management and fertilizers in crop production；(4) Nutrient uptake, transport and storage；(5) Nutrient functions, signaling and source-sink relations；(6) Nutrient cycling, ecosystems and climate change；(7) Element toxicity and remediation； (8) Plant nutrition, food quality and human health；（9）Potassium special session等。会议邀请了Walter J. Horst (德国)、Hans lambers （澳大利亚）、Philippe Hinsinger（法国）、Nicolaus von Wiren（德国）、Fangjie Zhao(中国)、Howarth Bouis(美国)、Philip White（英国）、Jan Schjoerring（丹麦）、Patrick Brown（美国）、Fusuo Zhang（中国）、Andreas Burkert（德国）、Roel Merckx（比利时）、Heinz Rennenberg（德国）、Zed Rengel(澳大利亚)、volker Romheld(德国)、Sergey Shabala(澳大利亚)、Peter Ryan （澳大利亚）、Leon Kochian（美国）、Michael Grusak（美国）、Martin Broadley（英国）、Jianfeng Ma（日本）等知名学者作了特邀报告。在国际植物营养学大会（IPNC’13）上，徐芳森教授、石磊教授、姜存仓副教授、李小坤副教授、丁广大博士和博士研究生王寅等共展示了7个墙报。会后，大家访问了Brochemie International公司Istanbul分公司，并与该公司Mr. Algan Enes和Mr. Korkut Yakal等主要负责人进行了交流。该公司是石磊教授主要的合作伙伴之一。

通过两个会议近8天的学术交流，展示了我校植物营养学研究，尤其是硼营养高效研究的研究进展，加深了国内同行对我们研究工作的了解，结识了新的国内外同行，为开展合作、共同发展奠定了良好的基础。据悉，下次会议将于2017年在丹麦哥本哈根举行。
